Jamboree on the Air (Jota) as the whole world comes to us!
This will be an overnight event based at Ticehurst Scout Hut. We have the pleasure to welcome Peter Allcock, a local radio operator, who will be guiding us through the use of radio equipment and helping us to contact other Scouts all over the world!
This is a truely international event with approximately 500,000 participants from all over the world!
Meet someone from Morroco,
Chat to someone from China,
Joke with someone from Japan
Want to know more about it? There is lots of information all over the internet about 'JOTA', although he is a good desciption of JOTA.
This type of event also counts as an 'international' activity. Essential for completinge things such as the ultimate award in scouting, 'The Queen's Scout Award', or contributing towards the Duke Of Edinburgh award.
See you all then!
